Storytelling is primal and deeply rooted in our humanity. Telling original stories in film has long been my passion and I have written or co-written many short and feature-length screenplays. Recent successes include a short film, “The Blue Dress” that I scripted being selected for Cannes.
My career in film, theatre and radio was born while reading Literature at The New University of Ulster, where directing and acting led naturally to a position in professional Theater in Education. Since then, I’ve played many roles in theatre, international film and TV and become a sought-after voiceover artist.
In addition, I have co-written, directed and acted in a satirical TV show for the BBC, presented children’s TV shows in Ireland and many local and hospital radio broadcasts, and taken on the role of Guest Lecturer in Media Studies at the University of Humberside.
Above all, it is film that stirs my soul. To quote the great Stephen Spielberg: “Every time I go to a movie, it’s magic, no matter what the movie’s about.”

From early childhood play helps us to learn and to develop and leads us to use our creative imaginations. As artists we play all our lives and I’ve expressed my creativity in acting and writing. I’ve been acting since high-school at The State Theater from Galati, my hometown. After finishing the Faculty of Arts in Bucharest, I’ve played the lead in LUV by Murray Schisgal at an independent theater and later on I’ve toured Romania with a beautiful children’s play. But I was so drawn by the moving pictures, like a lost flapper of the 20s, that I teamed up with Olimpia S. Mustata and made my first feature film as a leading lady and as a screenwriter, Innocent Temptations, produced by Columna Cinema in 2016.
I worked as a writer and screenwriter at Compas Studio for one year between 2012-2013, being part of the “We also have superheroes” national campaign. I am also a published author, having co-authored The Thoughts of a Heart Bearer, a photo book by Mihai Tutu, published in 2014 and also co-authored Today’s romantics, published in 2004.
I’ve worked as an acting trainer and one of the most worthwhile experiences I had so far was as a drama therapist at a center in Bucharest for people with mental problems. I worked with a group of hugely talented people for over two years, creating two theater shows with them, Metamorphosis and Marzon’s Anniversary, which I also wrote.
I’ve studied with some of the greatest professionals in Romania and I’ve been involved in numerous acting workshops such as the one run by David Zinder, which is based on the Michael Chekhov technique, Milan Sladek’s workshop on pantomime or Claire Heggen’s workshop on the Movement Theater.
